Hey Everyone! Exciting news!

You can now agonize with everyone else by watching my 5-minute rapid-fire speech from the Financial Blogger Conference that I went to recently. If you don’t know what Ignite is, here’s the details in a nutshell:

You get 20 presentation slides and the automatically switch every 15 seconds.

That’s it.

So, without further delay, here’s my speech at FinCon Ignite 2013.

  1. Great message Jake. And really spot on. It’s so easy to SAY something is important to us and then go and do something completely different. That was actually a main reason behind us cutting our cable recently. I don’t really think cable is evil, and we definitely could afford it, but it’s just not something we want to be important in our lives. So now it’s gone.

  2. Show me your last 10 transactions and I will tell you what your priorities are 🙂 well, sort of. Totally agree with your assertion, one should certainly let their values dictate their spending instead of the other way round.
I guess it also helps us live a more meanignful life! Awesome talk.

    • It sucks to look at my past spending (it was REALLY BAD), but knowing now that my values are aligned with my spending I know that my next 30+ working years are going to be well spent (pun intended 😉 )

  3. I enjoyed reliving your presentation through the video, Jacob – it was even better live. 🙂 I hope more of these pop up as the Ignite event was one of my favorite parts of Fincon13 – even if my wife sprained her ankle on the walk over. 🙂
